Ampthill Electrical Services

About Ampthill Electrical

Chris, his wife Val and their 2 children moved to Flitwick from Luton about 8 years ago. Chris had spent a number of years working as an electrician on new housing developments and had run large contracts for major house builders like Barrett Homes, Persimmons and Taylor Wimpy. But he always had an ambition to start his own business.

Setting up on your own is scary, especially when you’ve got a family and a mortgage! But they took a deep breath and decided to go for it, and so Ampthill Electrical Services was born. Val never had any doubts that Chris would succeed. He’s so hard working and reliable and trustworthy. I knew it was only a matter of time before customers would come to see that too.

When Chris first started he was working 10 hour days and then going on to college in the evening to study for all the necessary qualifications. In all the training took 5 years to complete but it was well worth the hard work and commitment.

I am very aware that the recession and rising electricity costs make people think twice before getting work done in the home or office. I will always give a free estimate for any work required and I will also help people make an informed choice that will not only save on the cost of installation, but on long term running costs as well.

The most important aspect of any electrician’s work is safety and Chris keeps fully up to date on all the changes and amendments to current regulations. He is annually assessed by the NIC-EIC which inspects his work and checks certification to make sure that it is fully compliant with regulations. By up grading your fuse board to one that meets current regulations you can be sure that your home and its contents are properly protected.

Most people do not realise the importance of having their electrical work registered with the Local Authority. When you choose Ampthill Electrical Services you can be sure that all the work is fully certified and covered by an insurance backed NIC-EIC 10 year Warranty.

Chris receives most of his work through recommendations and he also has several on going contacts with local builders. Chris is also
committed to providing a 24 hour emergency call out for clients so with his ‘can do’ attitude and determination to provide a high quality, reliable and value for money service, the future looks bright for Ampthill Electrical Services.

If you would like any free advice Chris is always happy to talk to you.
